Road closers

Everyone coming Saturday March 14 for the match be advised,

Highway 57 just south of the 54/57 intersection is closed. It won’t be open for 90 days.

Also Boarder Road heading east out of Newberry. The road you turn off 57 at the post office is closed. A culvert collapsed last night.

Everyone come in from Highway 231 unless you know the area and can find your way through.

I marked where the culverts out in the picture.

We updated the rules for Reaching Out To A Mile.

We removed the restriction on rear pegs/adjustable butt stocks. the use of sleds, vices, and tripods is still prohibited.

Rules for “Reaching Out To A Mile” 2026

8:00 safety meeting 8:30 match starts

30 cal (.308 diameter) and smaller at 3200 fps limit on all targets except mile and 2026 yards

Magnums ok as long as meet previous requirements

1 rifle to be used on all targets except mile and 2026 yards. You may use different rifles for those of any caliber and speed of your choosing

Spotters can only call high low left right

Each squad will have a tablet and a timer to keep their own scores

Stage start will be random

Round count, 100ish, exact count will be on course of fire after open range day

All stages will be prone. You will start standing mag in bolt open

No sleds, tripods, or vises. Bipods and bags/rear stock adjustment only

Shooters will be provided with a course of fire with all ranges and target sizes

Prizes will be awarded by place of finish. 1st to last.

Cold range so no loaded weapons except on the firing line.

Chamber flags used until on the fire line.

No sidearms will be allowed while on the firing line
